Catechism
The Catechetical-Confirmation program is a two and a half year course of study. Students in grades six and seven study the Sacraments and the Word. When a student has completed two full years of study, he/she enters the Confirmation class. This class meets from mid-August to October. Students are confirmed on Reformation Sunday, the last Sunday in October.Our Worship and Learning Opportunities
Sundays:
- 8:00 am - Worship Service
- 9:15 am - Christian Education for all ages
- 10:30 am - Worship Service
Wednesdays:
- 7PM Contemporary Worship Service
1st Monday of the month:
- 7PM - "Nu 'Oli", a Hawaiian Worship Service
Holy Communion is celebrated at every service.

Discipleship -To provide opportunities for our members to grow in their faith and to take on active roles in the life of the church. To create new leaders within the church and to increase our presence in the spiritual life of our community.
Assimilation - To nurture and support each other as we integrate new members into the congregation, providing a welcoming worship experience with opportunities for fellowship. To reach out to inactive members and visitors so that they are encouraged to join us in discipleship.
Service - “The church is the church only when it exists for others…” says Dietrich Bonnhoffer. We reflect God’s love when we serve others. This encompasses our everyday actions as well as our more organized efforts.
Heart – To provide all the resources necessary to meet the vision for the ministry of the Gospel by Salem Lutheran Church. This includes faith, hope, love, courage, and the commitment of time, talents, and treasures by the people of God.
