Sunday School
Rally Day is held on the Sunday prior to the start of public school. It is a kick-off event for Sunday Church School. Sunday Church School classes are offered for students pre-K through adult and are held between the traditional and festival services.
Recruiting teachers is another responsibility for the Learning Committee. Teachers are given a curriculum and materials chosen by the committee. Team Teaching is used to share the responsibility of preparing for classes.
Sunday School Teachers & Helpers Needed!
2007 – 2008
The Learning Committee of Salem Lutheran Church is encouraging people to consider prayerfully lending their time, energy, wisdom, and hearts to the work of the Lord by helping out with our Sunday School starting next fall. Adults associated with Sunday School are some of the most important people in the spiritual development of our children, and so this is an opportunity to make a real impact in the spiritual growth of a child. There will be a training and recognition event on Sunday, August 19th at 9:15 a.m. for those who would like to know more about what being a Sunday School teacher is all about. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Jeff. Our Sunday Worship and Learning Opportunities

Salem's DASh Strategy
Discipleship -To provide opportunities for our members to grow in their faith and to take on active roles in the life of the church. To create new leaders within the church and to increase our presence in the spiritual life of our community.
Assimilation - To nurture and support each other as we integrate new members into the congregation, providing a welcoming worship experience with opportunities for fellowship. To reach out to inactive members and visitors so that they are encouraged to join us in discipleship.
Service - “The church is the church only when it exists for others…” says Dietrich Bonnhoffer. We reflect God’s love when we serve others. This encompasses our everyday actions as well as our more organized efforts.
hospitality - To create a congregational environment that actively and intentionally welcomes outsiders and travelers into the life of the congregation, however brief that time may be.
