CRITICAL TARGETS:
I. DISCIPLESHIP
To provide opportunities for our members to grow in their faith and to take on active roles in the life of the church. To create new leaders within the church and to increase our presence in the spiritual life of our community.

I. A. We have a new Senior Pastor in place before the end of the
year.
I .B. We have a balanced budget at the end of the year
I.C. Identified program needs are filled by congregational
members who step forward and make it happen.
II. ASSIMILATION
To nurture and support each other as we integrate new members into the congregation, providing a welcoming worship experience with opportunities for fellowship. To reach out to inactive members and visitors so that they are encouraged to join us in discipleship.

II. A. We maintain our average Sunday attendance from 2009.
II. B. We provide four all church social events in 2010.
III. SERVICE
“The church is the church only when it exists for others…” says Dietrich Bonhoeffer. We reflect God’s love when we serve others. This encompasses our everyday actions as well as our more organized efforts.

III. B. Salem develops and implements one new service project in 2010.
IV. HEART
To provide all the resources necessary to meet the vision for the ministry of the Gospel by Salem Lutheran Church. This includes faith, hope, love, courage, compassion, and the commitment of time, talents, and treasures by the people of
God.
OUTCOMES for 2010
IV. A. A building task force is established and functioning to propose specific improvement options and provide recommendations to the congregation on portables and equipment replacement projects for Salem.
IV. B. An initial appeal is made to the congregation, with funds secured to finance the necessary surveys and entitlement design work to enable county review and approval of expansion of the church building.

9:15 am - Contemporary Service
9:15 am - Christian Education for all ages
10:30 am - A liturgical service based on the 2008 Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal
7:00 pm, 1st Monday of the month - "Nu 'Oli", a Hawaiian Worship Service
Holy Communion is celebrated at every service.
